Finishes Guide of our Home
Hi everyone! As promised, here are our choices for our home's interior and exterior spaces. These are our basic choices. Afterwards, I'll create a guide for each room. If you feel like it, you will be able to reproduce most of the design of our home!
I sincerely hope to simplify your task! We found it quite complicated to choose all the doors, handles, etc. Luckily our designers at Blanc Marine were there to guide us! So without further ado, here are our choices!
Our doors
Interior doors
Solid wood doors
Masonite
Le chateau - 2 Panel Alternate (C26)
Finish: Oak
Note: Purchased via Intermat (not on their website, but they can get them). Obviously more expensive than a hollow core door.
Doors to our mudroom
Masonite
Artisan - 6 Lite (3/4) Over Panel (506)
Finish: White, but with a black stain that we will apply ourselves.
Note: Purchased via Intermat (not on their website, but they can get them).
External doors
Solid wood doors (entrance and living room)
Custom
Menuiserie Delisle
Finish: Custom colour
Note: Solid wood doors can easily reach 3 times the price of a steel door. So we are talking about 10-15k for 2 doors.
Door to our mudroom
Soho Door with Tiles
Magistral Windows
Finish: Black
Note: Steel doors are beautiful and much more affordable than solid wood doors.
Our handles
Exterior door handles
Emtek Helios Lever
Menuiserie Delisle
Finish: Oil Rubbed Bronze
Note: Purchased through the cabinet maker who makes our doors. The handle is affordable.
Handle for sliding doors
Emtek Rustic Modern Rectangular Pocket Door Mortise
Through the keyhole
Finish: Oil Rubbed Bronze
Interior door handles
Lever AUR490RRS
Intermat
Finish: Venetian Bronze
Note: This handle is mid-range in terms of price.
Our flooring, skirting and framing, fireplace and paint
Engineered floor
European White Oak
CPL solutions
Grade: classic
Dimensions: 14.2 x 190 x 1820 mm
TM Nature Wood
Guillotine firebox
Uptown 600
Renaissance
Our exterior
Asphalt shingles
Black Mystic Shingles
BP Canada
Note: We chose shingles because we prefer the look (and the price)... Sheet metal is much more expensive, but more durable.
Vertical cladding and beams
Maxi-Forest
Note: Custom colour.
Outdoor fireplace
Villawood 42"
Majestic
Note: Much less expensive than a fireplace. We are talking about 5K vs 10-15K.
Outdoor lighting
Wellworth
Union Lighting
Dimensions: 10" x 22"
Note: Antique bronze finish
White bricks
Bloomfield - QSM - Michigan
Meridian
Note: Purchased through Montreal Brick and Stone.
Acrylic
Adex
Coating Adex
Note: Texture to be confirmed. :)
Garage doors
Quantum R16
Garex
Note: This door is quite affordable and we love it.
PVC windows
Magistral Windows
Note: 1/4 x 5/8 rectangular tiles
Stay tuned for future guides. I'm really looking forward to showing you our final choices for our beautiful Blanc Marine pieces. I'm really excited! xox
